Feversham Education Trust is an established Multi Academy Trust set up to sponsor schools of Faith and those with none. The Trust currently comprises of one outstanding secondary Muslim girls school (11-18), a joint venture teaching school, an early years nursery provision and a mixed secondary school (11-16).

Bronte Girls Academy Section 10 Consultation

As part of the process of opening a Free School, the Department of Education requires a consultation* under section 10 of the Academies Act 2010. This enables local residents, staff and governors from local schools, parents, councillors, community groups and any other interested party to share their views.

The consultation period for Bronte Girls’ Academy will run from 17th September 2018 to the 2nd November 2018. This is a key mile stone for Feversham Education Trust in its journey to opening Bronte Girls’ Academy in September 2019.

Feversham Education Trust (FET) will continue to play a pivotal role of raising educational standards for learners across all age ranges in Bradford. Our ambition is to grow to 9 schools within the Trust with a mix of Primary, Secondary and Free Schools that enable educational coherence across phases and offer a real choice for parents.

Our proposal for an 11-16 girls Free School with a four form entry called Bronte Girls Academy (BGA) has been approved.

The Trust has proven capability and capacity in all areas including leadership, governance, teaching and learning and financial management. The Trusts intention to set up the new free school BGA is to provide much needed, outstanding education for girls aged 11-16 in the Bradford district. BGA will have no Faith designation; this will ensure that provision will be open to all girls regardless of faith or no faith, ability or socio-economic background.

This new school will hope to open its doors in September 2019 and will admit 120 pupils to Year 7. BGA will focus on high quality education providing girls with the qualifications, attitudes and values required to progress into higher education, training and employment.

BGA values will be:

  • Respect and tolerance
  • Care for our environment
  • Promote British values
  • Character building
  • Excellence in all we do
  • Equality and fairness
  • Responsible and accountable
  • Honest and reliable
  • Outstanding outcomes for all
